I brought an engine to be complete rebuild by this people I paid them $2850 for a v6 01 Pontiac firebird complete rebuild engine Their estimate time to have it ready was 5 to 6 Weeks It took them 3 months to give me the engine back after I had to go talk to them a few times about Engine was installed and had a miss fire since day one But I don't pay much attention to it A few months later I called called and no answer So I decided to go back the their shop but it was closed So I went back a few times but same thing it was closed Still somebody from nextdoor told me that they had moved to an other location So I wasn't there talk to them about it and they said it wasn't an engine problem So I told them that my mechanic had done all kinds of test on it and it was definitely an internal engine problem so George told me to go to one of their mechanics that they trust so I did it Mechanic said the same thing that it was not an engine problem So my mechanic and I went there and showed them how it would loose compression when the engine was running So they did more testing And a week later I called them and asked what the problem was and they finally said oh it is an internal engine probl

I have been in the performance industry for over 28 years and I have alway used this place for all machine work, the staff is great to work with and being that the owner is still hands on eyes on is definitely a plus. All work is checked to assure perfection. For guys like me you can't beat the (((FAIR))) prices! If you haven't noticed I (((LOVE))) this place of business... I pray they are there for the rest of my life and beyond! Great work, fair prices, great hard working staff! /equals success on any build\...

I wouldn’t reccomend anyone to have a motor built here. It looks like they have a bunch of kids working here. I brought in my ls1 to be set up for boost, they told me I needed head work, cylinders needed to be bored out a little, pistons, rings, all new bearing, understandable precautions. $5000 later with assurance of a capacity of 15-20 lbs of boost safely I install it, do a proper break in and get into tuning, almost instantly the motor blows up about 4500rpm on 14lbs. Upon tear down found out 3 cylinders cracked with multiple bent rods, I later brought everything back to them and all they had to say was “too much boost” they refreshed the heads and sent me on my way. A complete waste of my time and a lot of money for sloppy work.

Dale and Darryl Wagner you are the GREATEST. This place is the best. Had to change my previous post because it was all wrong. It took awhile but these guys took care of me like no one has before. Turns out it was not an engine problem not internally. It turns out that the so called mechanic who did the install did not check the external parts. The problem was external not internal. I will not be going back to the mechanic who did the install ever again. WINDY CITY ENGINE AND PARTS, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Five years later and my car is running like new.

DOYou will NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!! WARNING!!!!!! I went to these guys for a complete engine rebuild. After 6 months of driving the engine started burning oil and had sever blow-by. I had the engine under warranty and brought it back to them so they can fix the problem. Three weeks later they called me and said it was ready. Upon driving home the engine started smoking and making loud chugging noises. I brought it to my mechaninc and it turned out they hadnt even pulled the engine back out. They also broke my flex pipe and covered the front half of my car in grease. I am currently looking into sueing this buisness. They left me over 2,500 dollars in the hole. Do not go there.
